Going through these pictures to see Fritz and me in two totally different scenes. After 5.5 years in New York, we decided to return to my home country, The Netherlands. With mixed feelings, we left our New York home to be closer to family and friends.
For Fritz, this was a life-changing event. He traded the busy New York streets for a quiet town near Amsterdam, where one NY skyscraper has as many residents as our new village. Here, there are no coffee shops, breweries, or dog parks, and Fritz had never seen a cow, sheep, or chicken before. But he adjusted quickly and absolutely loves the countryside. He’s made new friends, enjoys swimming, and appreciates having a backyard.
New York will always be in our hearts. It’s our inspiration and the birthplace of our small business. We continue to operate in North America (we have an office in New York & moved our Warehouse to LA) and are expanding our shop in Europe. I’ll be flying back and forth for Fritz Business and attending shows like Superzoo & Shoppe Object to meet our retailers and friends.
Since moving two months ago, we’ve been working on new color combinations and will soon launch toys! Our mission remains the same: to create modern and sustainable dog essentials for the urban dog owner.
We’re excited for the future and cherish our amazing time, where we meet so many amazing people and dogs in the best city in the world, New York City
