The Dogs & Interiorist Series – Approved by Fritz
Welcome to The Dogs & Interiorist Series by Approved by Fritz, where we celebrate the perfect harmony of stylish living spaces and the dogs who make them home. Whether you're working from home, flipping through your favorite book, or relaxing after a long walk, there’s something heartwarming about watching your dog nap in their favorite spot or keep a vigilant eye on the neighborhood.
In this blog series, we sit down with dog lovers to explore their homes, learn about their design choices, and discover how their furry companions have shaped their living spaces. Today, we’re thrilled to share a peek inside Danielle’s home, where Fritz, the inspiration behind Approved by Fritz, reigns supreme.
Meet Danielle & Fritz
Tell us about you and your dog.
“My name is Danielle, and this is Fritz. I adopted him four years ago on a freezing January morning in New York—just 10°F! Fritz was rescued with his five brothers from the streets of South Carolina by Rescue City. His story inspired me to create Approved by Fritz, a brand dedicated to modern dog owners who want stylish, long-lasting products that bring joy throughout their dog’s entire life. Our vibrant designs, inspired by New York’s city streets, started with leashes and expanded to dog beds. Today, we operate out of warehouses in Los Angeles and Amsterdam, partnering with over 200+ concept and pet stores worldwide.”
A Home Designed for Dogs
What’s Fritz’s favorite spot at home?
“Fritz loves our top-floor windows. I’ve placed one of his beds there, so he can keep an eye on the neighborhood. Even though we live in a one-bedroom tiny house, we’ve got three dog beds for Fritz, and they all blend seamlessly with our interior. Yes, he’s allowed on the couch and the bed, too! I’m passionate about interior design and playing with colors, and each dog bed reflects that flair for stylish functionality.”
Dogs & Home Life
What does it mean to have Fritz by your side at home?
“He’s the perfect companion. Fritz helps me pause, get fresh air, and hit my daily step goal. On off days, we hang out on the couch in comfortable silence. I couldn’t ask for a better WFH buddy.”
Whether it’s a cozy nook by the window or a colorful corner of the living room, Fritz proves that dogs don’t just live in our homes—they complete them. Stay tuned for more interviews in The Dogs & Interior Series, where dogs and design collide in the most delightful ways.
