At Approved by Fritz, sustainability isn't a marketing label — it's the foundation of every product we make. From recycled PET bottles to plastic-free packaging, we believe that creating beautiful dog accessories and protecting the planet should go hand in hand. Here's how we're making it happen.

By the Numbers

  • 50 Bottles Per Bed

    Each Fritz Bed is made from 100% GRS-certified recycled PET bottles. That's approximately 50 plastic bottles diverted from landfill per bed. The cover uses Better Cotton™ recycled canvas, and the insert cushion is filled with recycled PET cotton.

  • Durable by Design

    Our collars and leashes are made from PVC-coated nylon built to last. Durable products mean fewer replacements, less waste. Rated for dogs up to 80 lbs with stainless steel hardware that stands the test of time.

  • 1 Bottle Per Carrier

    Every Poop Bag Carrier is crafted from GRS-certified post-consumer recycled plastic — the equivalent of 1 recycled plastic bottle per carrier. Machine washable and designed to last years.

Global Recycled Standard (GRS)
GRS is an international, voluntary standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions. Our recycled PET materials are GRS-certified, ensuring genuine post-consumer waste sourcing and responsible manufacturing.

Better Cotton™
Better Cotton is the world's largest cotton sustainability program, reaching 2.9 million farmers across 26 countries. The program promotes water efficiency, soil health, reduced chemical use, and fair labor standards. We use Better Cotton™ in our bed covers because we believe every material choice matters.

BPA-Free Silicone
Our bowl mats are crafted from BPA-free food-grade silicone, ensuring your pet's feeding area is safe and free from harmful chemicals.

Plastic-Free Packaging

Every order ships in 100% plastic-free packaging. We use recyclable cardboard boxes and paper-based mailers. No poly bags, no bubble wrap, no unnecessary filler materials. We believe sustainable practices should extend beyond the product itself to every part of the customer experience — from the moment you place your order to the moment it arrives at your door.
