How to Care for Your Fritz Products
Proper care keeps your Approved by Fritz products looking and performing their best. All our products are designed for easy maintenance — here's how to keep each one in top shape.
Fritz Bed
Step 1: Remove the Cover
Unzip and remove the recycled canvas cover from the bed insert cushion. Only the cover needs washing — the insert cushion should be spot-cleaned as needed.
Step 2: Turn Inside Out
Turn the bed cover inside out to protect the outer fabric and color during washing. This helps the recycled canvas maintain its appearance through multiple washes.
Step 3: Machine Wash Cold
Place the cover in your washing machine and wash on a cold setting with mild detergent. Avoid bleach or fabric softener, which can damage the recycled canvas fibers.
Step 4: Air Dry
Remove from the washing machine and let the cover air dry completely. Do not machine dry — air drying extends the life of the Better Cotton™ recycled canvas material and prevents shrinkage.
Tips & Common Mistakes
Do: Wash regularly (every 2–4 weeks for active dogs). Spot-clean small stains between washes. Use mild, eco-friendly detergent.
Don't: Machine dry the cover. Use bleach or fabric softener. Wash the insert cushion in the machine — spot-clean only.
Fritz Collar & Leash
Step 1: Prepare Cleaning Solution
Mix lukewarm water with a small amount of dish soap. The PVC-coated nylon is designed for easy cleaning, so you don't need any special products.
Step 2: Wipe Down
Dampen a clean cloth with the soapy water and wipe down the entire collar and leash. Dirt and mud come off easily thanks to the PVC coating. Pay attention to the area around the D-ring and buckle.
Step 3: Dry Thoroughly
Dry with a clean towel. Make sure to dry around the Pantone-coated D-ring, rivets, and stainless steel swivel hook to prevent water spots.
Tips & Common Mistakes
Do: Clean after muddy walks. Use lukewarm (not hot) water. Dry hardware components thoroughly.
Don't: Put in the dishwasher or washing machine. Use abrasive cleaners or scrub brushes. Soak for extended periods.
Fritz Poop Bag Carrier
Step 1: Empty the Carrier
Remove all treats, poop bags, keys, and any other items from the carrier. Check all pockets and compartments.
Step 2: Machine Wash Cold
Place the carrier in your washing machine and wash on a cold setting with mild detergent. The GRS-certified recycled material holds up well through regular machine washing.
Step 3: Air Dry
Remove from the washing machine and let air dry completely. Do not machine dry.
