The Local Dog Friendly Bar Guide: 6 Dog Friendly Spots in Long Island City

New York City has approximately 400,000 dog inhabitants and about 27,000 restaurants and bars. Since the pandemic is the amount of outdoor dog friendly dog spots has increased a lot. We love to stroll through the neighborhood and drink a beer or coffee and bring our dog. Therefore, we will list the most dog friendly spots we think you should go, listed per neighborhood. Let's start with our own beloved Long Island City (aka Dog Island City)

Fifth Hammer Brewery

One our our favorite spots for every occasion. Inside, outside, vibe, people and ofcourse their beer. We love the vibe and they are super dog friendly. On Wednesdays they have a live jazz band performances and just keep out their calendar for their everyday changing food truck schedule. Open 7 days a week. Check them out here.

This local brewery is hidden in an industrial area. During the weekend this place gets packed with dog owners and beer lovers. They have a very nice patio which is during the winter covered with a tent and therefore super dog friendly.

During the weekend there is a food pop up and live band performances. ICONYC is definitely one of our favorite spots. Find them here.

Rockaway Brewery

Yes, the name sounds like the Rockaway Beach, but then a little different, although they have taproom at the beach too, this one is based in LIC ;-). The corner brewery is also definitely one of our favorites. They have a tiny taproom inside and a cool outdoor terrace. Dogs love to hang there because because of the traffic. So many dogs and humans to watch. We love spending the weekend day here. Check them out.
